Accident Litigation

Accident litigation is a form of civil law legislation. In particular, it is a type of Tort Law. An accident is a unexpected mishap or untoward event. It may also be seen as a willful or intentional act. Since the result of the "accident" is harm, accident litigation is a type of personal injury litigation. In some countries and states, a Statue of Limitation applies to filing any type of Tort including accident legislation. In Georgia, this Statues is 2 years from the date of the accident causing the personal injury. Some litigation lawyers specialize in accident litigation. The most common types of accident resulting in accident litigation are those involving automobiles and other vehicles. In many instances the type of Tort Law is categorized as negligent. Another possibility is strict liability. In the former the driver of the vehicle fails to fulfill his duty as an operator; in the latter instance, the manufacturer of the vehicle may be at fault.
