Civil Suit Court

Going to court in a civil suit can be somewhat complicated. Few civil suits ever get to trial, but if yours does; you'll need an attorney who is fully prepared. There are plenty of lawyers out there, but you'll need one who is experienced with going to trial if you end up in civil suit court. Only about three percent of all civil lawsuits actually make it to trial, so just because your attorney has handled a lot of suits doesn't mean he's spent a lot of time in court. If the attorney you choose has settled nearly all of his cases out of court, it's wise to ask if another partner in his firm has more experience at trial. Then, if your case actually goes to trial, perhaps the other attorney can be part of your litigation team. Even though it's not likely that your civil case will go to trial, it's important to know that you have a legal team who is prepared to do so.
