A general practice lawyer is a licensed and qualified attorney with a broad range of knowledge and experience in a wide variety of legal issues. Much like a general physician, a general practice lawyer mas assist clients with a number of different issues, as opposed to those attorneys who choose to specialize in one particular field of law. A general practice lawyer may have specific preferred areas of interest, however they are able to move out of those areas and handle other types of cases when the need arises. General practice attorneys work with legal issues related to tort law, tax law, personal injury claims, family law, business dealings, estate planning, mediation, real estate, and entertainment, to name a few.
